A brief history
Ripe began in Alex Murray’s loft over ten years ago. Early business wins with Next and Microsoft generated a lot of heat under the rafters, but most was caused by the sun, prompting the first move. Since then Ripe have gone from an old railway station just outside Leeds to great offices in the city centre, with another two in London and Cape Town. In doing so, we picked up some great accounts such as adidas, BMW and Orange. We also became pretty good at property and were the first agency to create interactive CD and DVDs within this sector. After a succession of new business wins, the cementing of long-term client relationships and some great awards along the way, Ripe continue to go from strength to strength.
Ripe has now gone multinational, multimarket and multimedia. By that we mean we’re now working together with clients from Manchester to Morocco, from York to New York and from our own London town to Cape Town. On our travels we create memorable and effective campaigns in film, online, outdoors and in – and of course, good old fashioned print. Although, if you have seen some of the things we can do in print for our clients, you would agree it is not yet old-fashioned. That is because we not only pride ourselves on being multinational, multimarket and multimedia, but also multi-talented too.
