Belfry in-store design

Background Information

Taylor-Made adidas Golf are part of the global brand portfolio of adidas-Salomon AG, producing golf footwear, apparel and equipment.

Ripe entered into, and won, a 4-way pitch in which we were asked to design and build a store within a store for adidas Golf at The Belfry; to display both shoes and apparel, communicate key brand messages, and operate on a customer self-service concept.

Design a store within a store which considers the space, layout and surrounding environment:

Brief

• Must hold 500 apparel pieces and 112 pairs of shoes
• Enable key messages to be displayed
• Encourage consumer understanding/trial of footwear
• Consider the adjacent TaylorMade area currently in store
• Make adidas the destination within the shop

Solution

Ripe undertook a site visit to ensure a thorough understanding of the environment. We refined and re-focused the objectives and highlighted a number of key issues which fed back into the brief a number of additional learning’s.

Our approach focused around the layout of the store concentrating on two key areas, footwear and apparel, and making the shopping process easy and clear for customers.

Result

Ripe were awarded the complete project which will span 5 years.
